TORONTO A successful leadership conference for New Canadians was sponsored by the Church, with the help of local LDS business leaders March 1 at the Richmond Hills meetinghouse. More than 100 people pre-registered for the conference and more attended. About 20 percent of those attending were not members of the Church.
The keynote speaker at the conference, Elder V. Dallas Merrell, a public affairs missionary formerly of the Seventy, used Brigham Young as a model leader who built trust, shared vision, established practical strategy, built allies as strong leaders, and managed growth and transformations to get significant results.
