Because of possible delays due to heightened security, those attending the 173rd General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are encouraged to arrive early to meetings.

General sessions will be held at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. The priesthood session will be at 6 p.m. Saturday.

Each individual who enters the Conference Center for any session will be required to pass through the magnetometers and face bag checks. Before gaining access to the parking areas, selected vehicles also will be inspected.

Cameras, recording devices, backpacks, large bags and packages will not be allowed inside the Conference Center.

Here is additional conference information:

Admission: Tickets are required for all sessions. Local church leaders received tickets for distribution. Doors will open 90 minutes before each session. Only persons age 8 and older holding tickets can attend. Overflow seating will be available in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and the Tabernacle. Spanish translation will be provided in the Assembly Hall.

Broadcast: All general sessions (except Saturday evening's priesthood meeting) will be carried live on KSL-TV, Channel 5; KSL radio (AM-1160); KBYU-TV, Channel 11; and BYU-TV on cable TV (DirecTV channel 374 and DISH Network channel 9403).

"Music and the Spoken Word" will precede the Sunday morning session at 9:30 a.m.

KSL radio will air repeats of Saturday's two sessions from midnight to 4 a.m. Sunday and of Sunday's two sessions from midnight to 4 a.m. on Monday.

Parking: Many downtown public parking lots will be available for both days of conference. These do not include parking at the Conference Center, Joseph Smith Memorial Building, the Church Office Building or the Main Street Plaza, where special parking tickets are required.
