"I would remind you that priesthood is the power and authority of God delegated to man."

Church members may worry that others won't accept them because of their morals and ethics, but that's not the case.

"In the process, I feel that if you live the way you should live, you have an influence on others lives."

"There's so much for us to do, but we need to be worthy of the priesthood that we bear."

This is the 173rd Annual General Conference and as a bit of trivia, my wife and I have now been married 73 years. That means it was the 100th annual conference when we were married.

My first brush with the priesthood was when I was baptized in a canal in Oakley, Id., wearing a bib apron swimsuit at the age of eight. I sat in a chair by the canal and was confirmed.

To you young men of the Aaronic Priesthood, live in the way you should. "Don't be caught in the silly things going on."

Aaronic Priesthood service teaches obedience and keeping the commandments of the Lord and can advance us to the Melchizedek Priesthood.

"The authority and the majesty of it is beyond our comprehension. I love the Lord, our Heavenly Father and this work. To all you priesthood holders, live as you should — we're different."

The church may now move in a broader way than the world has ever seen before. Tonight's meeting may be the greatest gathering of the priesthood ever in the history of the church.
