Family: Born Aug. 20, 1942, to Clate W. and Marva Gonzalez Mask in El Paso, Texas; married Carol Garns, Dec. 18, 1965, in the Los Angeles California Temple; six children, 18 grandchildren.
Church Service: Served in the Central American Mission (1961-1963), president of the Spain Barcelona Mission (1997-2000), high councilor, stake Sunday School president, stake missionary, bishop, counselor in bishopric, branch president.
Education: Bachelor's degree in English from BYU, master's degree in education from Cal State-Northridge.
Military Service: U.S. Army Reserve.
Employment: Church Educational System.
