LONG BEACH, Calif. — Top-seeded BYU lost May 3 the NCAA men's volleyball championship match 3-2 to Lewis University, a Division II school. By knocking off the Cougars (23-7), Lewis University (29-5) became just the second non-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation team to claim the national title. The national title would have the been BYU's third in five years.
