July 8 — Temple Square Concert Series; Concerts in the Park: Janet Todd, one of America's accordion champions, joins the Salt Lake Area Accordion Club Band to play lively dance tunes at 8 p.m. at the Brigham Young Historic Park, southeast corner of State Street and 2nd Avenue. Free parking (enter at 59 East North Temple), and free admission.
July 11 — Temple Square Concert Series: Baritone Joseph Wiggett, director of Opera Workshop at California State University at Stanislaus, will sing works from Schumann, Strauss, Bellini, Donaudy and others in the Assembly Hall at 7:30 p.m. He will be accompanied by Stephen Thomas, also on the faculty at Stanislaus. Free admission.
July 19 — Discover your Scottish Roots seminar, featuring classes on Scottish research, the Scottish census, and what others have done on your Scottish family, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Family History Library. Pre-registration is required. Call 801-240-2087 before July 12.
