July 26 — Temple Square Concert Series: bass-baritone Jonathan Lemalu will sing "Songs for a Summer Evening" at 7:30 p.m. in the Assembly Hall. Selections will be from Schubert, Finzi, Rodgersa and Hammerstein and others. Free admission.
July 31-Aug. 2; Aug. 5-9 — The Castle Valley Pageant, at the outdoor amphitheater near Castle Dale, Utah, will begin at dusk. Free admission.
Aug. 1 — Temple Square Concert Series; Concerts in the Park: the Salt Lake Scots Pipe Band, playing Celtic and Scottish tunes, drum salutes and stirring marches, will perform at 8 p.m. at the Brigham Young Historic Park, southeast corner of State Street and 2nd Avenue.
