Members of the Madina Ward, Accra Ghana Stake, refurbished a dining hall of the School for the Deaf at Mampong-Akwapim here July 26.

"What these people are doing shows that they are true children of God," said school headmaster Twum-Ampofo Owusu. "They came here last year and played games with our students and gave them free lunch and then donated books to us. This year, they are back again giving our dining hall a face-lift."

While carpenters removed brittle mosquito netting to fix new ones, electricians checked electrical circuits. Then there were those who tackled the painting of the hall. The work started at 9:30 in the morning and was finished by 3 o'clock in the afternoon.

All the materials used in the project were donated by Church Humanitarian Services.
