IPOH, Malaysia The Ipoh West Malaysia District, part of the Singapore Mission, held its first women's conference Aug. 2, attended by more than 30 women. The newly formed district, which is comprised of members in Ipoh and Penang, Malaysia, started plans early to organize the conference.
The theme centered on Doctrine and Covenant 93:40: "Bringing up your children in light and truth."
Conference messages were given by District President Charles Waller, Malaysia Church Educational System Director Michael Tamil and local member Dorene Loke. Under the direction of the district Relief Society presidency, a luncheon and workshop activities were also held.
