HISTORY
The Accra Ghana Temple is first temple dedicated in West Africa and 117th worldwide.
President Gordon B. Hinckley visits Ghana President John Agyekum Kufuor.
Blessings of the temple are no longer "remote" or "beyond their expectation."
Thousands of members from countries along Africa's West Coast gather around the Accra Ghana Temple following its dedication Jan. 11.
President Hinckley said the dedication represented the dreams, hopes and prayers of many people.
"There's just a euphoria that has gone through our membership here in appreciation for this great and significant thing," he said. Please see pages 6-14.
