BILLINGS, Mont. — Clair and Patty Walker were awarded a 2003 Congressional Angels in Adoption award in November for their efforts to support adoption. The Walkers have eight adopted children, many of whom have disabilities.

Clair and Patty Walker, with family, are recipients of the 2003 Congressional Angels in Adoption award.

Brother Walker, engineer for the Billings Montana Temple, and Sister Walker, a stay-at-home mom, were nominated for the award by U.S. Senator Conrad Burns.

In a letter to the Walkers, Sen. Burns said they received the award for their "selfless acts of kindness and dedication to making a difference in the lives of children everywhere." He called "the compassion and commitment" the couple have invested in the lives of their children an inspiration.
