Eight new mission presidents, called by the First Presidency, have been announced. The new leaders and their wives will begin service about July 1. Their assignments will be announced later. The new leaders and their wives are:

Lauri and John Barger
John Michael Barger, 47, Farmington 5th Ward, Farmington Utah Stake; Young Men president; former stake president and counselor in stake presidency, high councilor and bishop. Senior vice president and senior trust officer for Davidson Trust Co. Born in Atlanta, Ga., to Ralph Cyril and Patricia Rae Justice Barger. Married Lauri Packard, four children.

A counselor in the stake Young Women presidency, she is a former ward Relief Society, Young Women and Primary president and Young Women secretary. Born in Los Angeles, Calif., to Roger Blake and Barbara Ann Goates Packard.

Theodora and Bryan Colton
William Bryan Colton, 59, Hunter 10th Ward, Salt Lake Hunter East Stake; former temple ordinance worker, stake president, bishop, ward Young Men president and missionary in the North Germany and Italy missions. Chief financial officer at Pegus Research. Born in Price, Utah, to David Sanford and Rose Marie Mangone Colton. Married Theodora Gibb, six children.

A Relief Society teacher, she is a former temple ordinance worker, ward Primary president, Young Women adviser and Primary teacher. Born in Cardston, Alberta, to Golden Boyd and Hazel Redd Gibb.

Ronald and Rita Evans
Ronald Walter Evans, 65, Lyn Rae Ward, Mesa Arizona Kimball Stake; missionary in the Mesa Family History Center; former counselor in mission presidency, stake presidency and bishopric, and missionary in Mexican Mission. Born in Bisbee, Ariz., to Joseph Walter and Olive Larson Evans. Married Rita Fay Chapman, nine children.

A stake Relief Society president, she is a former Primary teacher and Cub Scout leader. Born in Morenci, Ariz., to Marvin Joy and Clara Olive Woolsey Chapman.

Ann and Kent Farnsworth
Kent Walker Farnsworth, 60, Arlington Hills Ward, Salt Lake Emigration Stake; former Aaronic Priesthood adviser, counselor in stake presidency, high councilor, bishop and missionary in Cumorah Mission. Physician. Born in Cedar City, Utah, to Reed White and Ethel Walker Farnsworth. Married Ann Rogers Wirthlin, four children.

A ward missionary, she is a former ward Relief Society president, Young Women adviser, Relief Society and Primary teacher. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Joseph Bitner and Elisa Young Rogers Wirthlin.

Spencer and Kristen Kirk
Spencer Fairbanks Kirk, 42, Holladay 25th Ward, Salt Lake Holladay South Stake; ward Young Men president; former stake executive secretary, high councilor, elders quorum president and missionary in the Korea Seoul Mission. Partner at Extra Space Storage. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Donald Angus and Kathryn Fairbanks Kirk. Married Kristen Clarke, three children.

A Relief Society teacher, she is a former ward Primary president, Young Women adviser, Sunday School teacher and missionary in the Brazil Campinas Mission. Born in Cedar City, Utah, to John Alva and Marilyn Tuckett Clarke.

Shanna and David Labrum
David Ray Labrum, 54, Roosevelt 5th Ward, Roosevelt Utah Stake; ward Young Men president; former stake president, stake Young Men president, high councilor, bishop and Sunday School teacher. Part owner of Land L Motor Company. Born in Roosevelt, Utah, to Lynn and Miriam Alice Long Labrum. Married Shanna Lee Hamblin, seven children.

A teacher improvement coordinator, she is a former ward Relief Society and Primary president, Cub Scout leader, organist and chorister. Born in Kanab, Utah, to Antone Robinson and LaDonna Chamberlain Ogden Hamblin.

David and Barbara Randall
David Max Randall, 63, Sunset Heights 4th Ward, Orem Utah Sunset Heights Stake; temple ordinance worker and Sunday School teacher; former counselor in stake presidency, stake Sunday School president, high councilor, bishop and high priests group leader. Professor of music at BYU. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Max Willard and Elizabeth Knorr Drechsel Randall. Married Barbara Jean Possinger, six children.

A temple ordinance worker and Sunday School teacher, she is a former stake Relief Society board member, Relief Society, Young Women and Primary teacher and nursery coordinator. Born in Port Angeles, Wash., to Alvin Edward and Elizabeth Mina Rauch Possinger.

Bonnie and Lindon Robison
Lindon J Robison, 58, Williamston Ward, Lansing Michigan Stake; Area Authority Seventy; former stake president and missionary in the Andes Mission. Professor at Michigan State University. Born in Los Angeles, Calif., to Lindon Wells and Alice May Ashby Robison. Married Bonnie Baxter, five children.

A stake Young Women president, she is a former seminary teacher. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Earl LeVon and Mary Estella Baxter.
