Eight new mission presidents, called by the First Presidency, have been
announced. The new leaders and their wives will begin service about July 1.
Their assignments will be announced later. The new leaders and their wives
are:
Jerold and Karen Burns
Jerold Edward Burns, 56, Centerville
Ward, Lilburn Georgia Stake; former high councilor, counselor in a stake
presidency, district president, bishop and missionary in the Brazil North
Mission. Area CES director. Born in Ogden, Utah, to Leith E. and Mable
Elizabeth Fuller Burns. Married
Karen
Williams, four children.
A counselor in the ward Relief Society, she is a former stake, ward and
branch Young Women president, gospel doctrine teacher and seminary teacher.
Born in Ogden, Utah, to Wallace Thayne and Georgia Nell Brady Williams.
Annette and Loren Burton
Loren Glenn Burton, 64, Cottonwood
10th Ward, Salt Lake Big Cottonwood Stake; former branch president,
counselor in a stake presidency, high councilor, bishop, public affairs
director and missionary in the North Central States Mission. Retired. Born
in Ogden, Utah, to Dale Shurtliff and Belva Ginger Wilson Burton. Married
Annette Jean Laughlin, eight children.
She is a former co-director of public affairs, counselor in a ward
Primary presidency, Sunday School teacher, choir director and missionary in
the North Central States Mission. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Eugene
and Ruth Snow Andersen Laughlin.
Martin and Dayna Driscoll
Martin Dirk Driscoll, 49, Aberdeen 1st
Ward, American Falls Idaho Stake; counselor in mission presidency; former
stake president, stake mission president, bishop, ward Young Men president
and missionary in the
England London Mission. Farmer, owner and partner of
Driscoll Potatoes Inc. Born in Pocatello, Idaho, to Wallace Wride and
Maurine Duffin Driscoll. Married
Dayna Ann
Polatis, five children.
A Relief Society enrichment leader, she is a former ward Relief Society
and Young Women president, counselor in a Primary presidency, ward Relief
Society and Primary secretary. Born in Blackfoot, Idaho, to Daniel Tyler
and JoAnn Jackson Polatis.
Sidney and William Price
William David Price, 59, Foxhill Ward,
North Salt Lake Utah Stake; member of the Media Evaluation Committee for
the Correlation Department; former director of media hosting, co-director
of multi-stake public affairs, high councilor, high priests group leader
and ward Young Men president. Director of Institute of Marketing at BYU.
Born in San Diego, Calif., to David Sherman and Muriel Tenney Price.

Sidney Alayne Howk, three children.
A member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, she is a former member of the
Media Evaluation Committee, director of media hosting, co-director of
multi-stake public affairs, ward Relief Society president and stake and
ward family history consultant. Born in Bozeman, Mont., to Orvus Lee and
Elsie Nadine Mueller Howk.
Rosalie and Michael Ringwood
Michael Tally Ringwood, 45, Cottonwood
Heights 7th Ward, Salt Lake Cottonwood Heights Stake; counselor in stake
presidency; former high councilor, ward Young Men president, bishop and
missionary in the
Korea Seoul Mission. Chief operating officer of Close to
My Heart. Born in Provo, Utah, to Howard Lee and Sharon Lee Burt Ringwood.

ward Young Women and Primary president and counselor in ward Relief Society

Ronald Brent Ririe, 47, Heatheridge
7th Ward, Orem Utah Heatheridge Stake; ward Young Men president; former
counselor in stake presidency, stake mission president, bishop, counselor
in a bishopric and Cub master. Vice president of information technology at
NuSkin Enterprises. Born in Novato, Calif., to Morgan Jensen and Helen Jean
Ririe. Married
Beverly Rose Thompson, six
children.
A counselor in a stake Relief Society presidency, she is a former ward
Young Women president and counselor, ward Relief Society counselor, teacher
and compassionate service leader. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Gerald
Ray and Barbara Hodson Merrill Dalling.
Guillermo and Alma Torres
Guillermo Torres Saunders, 40, Pastora
Ward, Mexico City Mexico Cuautepec Stake; stake Young Men president; former
stake president, counselor in stake presidency, high councilor, bishop and
missionary in the Mexico Monterrey Mission. Area physical facilities
manager for the Church. Born in Poza Rica, Veracruz, Mexico, to Guillermo
Torres Villalobos and Socorro Saunders de Torres. Married

Primary president, Relief Society and Primary teacher and seminary teacher.

Scott Ralphs Watterson, 48, River
Heights 3rd Ward, Providence Utah Stake; bishop; former counselor in a
bishopric, ward Young Men president and adviser and Sunday School teacher.
