Eight new mission presidents, called by the First Presidency, have been announced. The new leaders and their wives will begin service about July 1. Assignments for all mission presidents were announced in the March 6, 2004, Church News. The new leaders and their wives are:

Glenn Wayne Beus, 53; Russia Moscow Mission; Othello 3rd Ward, Othello Washington Stake; bishop; former stake president, stake executive secretary, high councilor, elders quorum president and missionary in the Philippines Mission. Teacher and farmer. Born in Ogden, Utah, to Evan Hugh and Alta Lucille Mansfield Beus. Married Kathleen Joanne Kuttler, nine children.

A gospel doctrine teacher, she is a former ward Relief Society and Primary president, counselor in a ward Relief Society and Primary presidency and Primary teacher. Born in Bethesda, Md., to Kenneth Latimer and Joanne Stratford Hyde Kuttler.

Roger Craig Connors, 45; Washington Kennewick Mission; Alpine 2nd Ward, Alpine Utah North Stake; gospel doctrine teacher; former stake president, high councilor, counselor in a bishopric, elders quorum president and missionary in the Georgia Atlanta Mission. Self-employed. Born in Whittier, Calif., to Craig Gordon and Ruth Joann Mallotte Connors. Married Gwen Jones, five children.

A Primary teacher, she is a former ward Relief Society president, gospel doctrine teacher, Primary chorister and missionary in the Finland Helsinki Mission. Born in Royal Oak, Mich., to Edwin B. and Mildred Salisbury Jones.

David Heber Crane, 55; Puerto Rico San Juan Mission; Visalia 1st Ward, Visalia California Stake; counselor in a mission presidency; former stake president, bishop, elders quorum president, Aaronic Priesthood adviser and missionary in the Andes South Mission. Oral and maxillofacial surgeon. Born in Murray, Utah, to Leonald Heber and Lyla May Myler Crane. Married Jeanette Linford, six children.

A ward Young Women president, she is a former counselor in a stake Young Women presidency, counselor in a ward Relief Society and Primary presidency, Young Women adviser and seminary teacher. Born in Glendale, Calif., to Raymond Hodges and Wanda Ball Linford.

Brian David Garner, 44; California Carlsbad Mission; Kaysville 10th Ward, Kaysville Utah Crestwood Stake; high councilor; former stake Sunday School president, bishop, elders quorum president, gospel doctrine teacher and missionary in the Bolivia La Paz Mission. Seminary and institute teacher. Born in Provo, Utah, to David Henry and Marcia Jean Evans Garner. Married Ann Lorene Voreis, six children.

A ward Relief Society president, she is a former counselor in a stake Relief Society presidency, ward Young Women and Primary president, Primary chorister and Relief Society teacher. Born in San Jose, Calif., to Richard Arthur and Barbara Purser Voreis.

Bruce Lamont Hunt, 56; Wisconsin Milwaukee Mission; Old Mission Ward, Sandy Utah Cottonwood Creek Stake; ward Young Men president; former stake executive secretary, high councilor, bishop, counselor in a bishopric and missionary in the West German Mission. Executive vice president of Brighton Bank. Born in Murray, Utah, to LaMont Christen and Gwendolyn Fay Smith Hunt. Married Marianne Tobler, five children.

A Primary chorister and temple ordinance worker, she is a former ward Relief Society president and counselor in a stake and ward Relief Society presidency. Born in St. George, Utah, to Kenneth Ralph and Audrey Paxman Tobler.

Derrill Cole Larkin, 63; Texas San Antonio Mission; Buena Vista 2nd Ward, Washington Utah Buena Vista Stake; counselor in a stake presidency; former high councilor, bishop, counselor in a bishopric and missionary in the Mexican Mission. Real estate developer. Born in St. George, Utah, to Herman James and Monture Bess Grey Larkin. Married Lana Kay Frehner, five children.

She is a former stake and ward Relief Society president, Sunday School teacher and Relief Society teacher. Born in Overton, Nev., to Fenton and Mary Leavitt Frehner.

Darrell Glen Simmons, 49; Indiana Indianapolis Mission; Smithfield 13th Ward, Smithfield Utah Stake; counselor in a stake presidency; former high councilor, bishop, counselor in a bishopric, ward Young Men president and missionary in the Canada Toronto Mission. Marketing manager at Northern Title Company. Born in Logan, Utah, to Dale and Gretta Griffin Simmons. Married Ruth Call, four children.

A Young Women adviser, she is a former counselor in a stake Primary presidency, ward Primary president, counselor in a ward Young Women presidency, Primary teacher and Relief Society enrichment leader. Born in Afton, Wyo., to Evan Papworth and Bessie Warren Call.

Kent Charles Wilson, 55; California San Bernardino Mission; Westbrook 2nd Ward, West Jordan Utah Westbrook Stake; former counselor in a stake presidency, high councilor, bishop, Scoutmaster and missionary in the Guatemala-El Salvador Mission. Educator. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Morris M. and Lila Doty Atkinson Wilson. Married Varel Jean Mumford, five children.

A ward missionary, she is a former ward Relief Society and Primary president, counselor in a Young Women presidency, Young Women adviser and Primary teacher. Born in Murray, Utah, to Victor Wayne and Helen Hansen Mumford.
