Dee Valentine Jacobs, 73, Northgate 1st Ward, Walnut Creek California Stake; called as president of the new Copenhagen Denmark Temple, which will be dedicated Sunday, May 23, 2004. His wife, Kay Parkin Jacobs, will be temple matron. President Jacobs is a stake public affairs director, and an ordinance worker at the Oakland California Temple. He is a former mission president in Denmark, counselor in the Stockholm Sweden Temple presidency, Europe Area welfare agent, temple sealer and counselor to three mission presidents and missionary in Sweden. He is a retired Foreign Service officer and government regional administrator. Born in Ogden, Utah, to Heber Grant and Erma Valentine Jacobs. They have six children.

Sister Jacobs is assistant stake public affairs director, and a former stake and ward Relief Society president, ward Young Women president, stake Young Women president's counselor and temple ordinance worker. She served with her husband in Denmark on a humanitarian mission to Europe and as assistant matron of the Stockholm temple. Born in Los Angeles, Calif., to Leland Hatch and Lucy Barney Parkin.
