Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin
Sister Bonnie D. Parkin
SALT LAKE CITY The full texts of Church Educational System fireside addresses given by Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin and Sister Bonnie D. Parkin are now available on the links above.
Elder Wirthlin of the Quorum of the Twelve told Latter-day Saint young adults during a Feb. 1 fireside that they stand "at the threshold of an amazing and wonderful journey" and can find their way to eternal life with the aid of two guiding lights.
"As one who has gone before you I offer these two words of counsel two sources of light that will provide light for you throughout your life's journey: love the Lord with all your hearts, might, mind and strength. Love your neighbor as yourself," he said.
Sister Parkin, Relief Society general president, told college-age young adults on March 7, "Remember who you are" and "To know is to do."
"There is power in these two phrases," said Sister Parkin. "Let me explain. When we know something truly understand it then we do it."
