Members of a "great international family, living in many nations and
speaking many languages," gathered on the grounds of the Salt Lake Temple,
Church Plaza and adjoining Conference Center April 3-4 for the Church 174th
Annual General Conference. Basking in spring weather and sunshine, members
listened to talks by General Authorities and others broadcast from the
Conference Center.
"May heaven smile upon you," President Gordon B. Hinckley said Saturday
morning. "May there be love and harmony, peace and goodness in your homes.
May you be preserved from harm and evil. May our Father's great 'plan of
happiness' (Alma 42:8) become the standard by which you live."
