Helen and John Stone
John Roger Stone, 62, McLean 1st Ward, McLean Virginia Stake, called as president of the Manhattan New York Temple, which will be dedicated June 13, 2004. President Stone's wife, Helen Marie Bartlett Stone, will serve as temple matron. He is former Greece Athens Mission president and a stake president, high counselor and bishop; founder and president of Markston Investment Management; born in El Paso, Texas, to Orville Jackson and Bathena Perkins Stone; married Helen Marie Bartlett; five children.

Sister Stone is a former stake and ward Relief Society president, ward Primary President and counselor, and branch Young Women president; teacher of nutrition and food science at Cornell University; born in Plainfield, N.J., to Jeffrey Hobart and Erma Worley Bartlett.
