CRESCENT CITY, CALIF.

Several members of the Crescent City 1st Ward, Eureka California Stake, boxed up 6,500 books in 295 boxes April 23 for shipment to Salt Lake City for Church Humanitarian Services. The books, which were boxed in four hours with the help of six missionaries, were donated by the Crescent Elk Middle School upon the instigation of principal Patrick Finley and Church member Gretchen Ramsey, an instructional aide at the school.

These books were later picked up and shipped to the White City Bishop's Storehouse in Oregon to be packaged for shipment to Salt Lake City. Students helped load the boxes.

"It was a very emotional experience for me," Sister Ramsey said. "When I saw the boxes I just cried at the thought of some child in a third world country getting these books that were going into a dumpster."
