June 26 — Temple Square Concert Series: The Bachauer Junior Piano Competition Finals will take place from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Assembly Hall. Free admission.

June 29 — Concerts in the Park: The Bar-K-Wranglers will perform old cowboy songs and stories at 8 p.m. at the Brigham Young Historic Park, southeast corner of State Street and 2nd Avenue. Free parking (enter at 59 E. North Temple), and free admission. For more information call 240-3323.

July 2 — The Mormon Tabernacle Choir and the Utah Symphony will perform at the patriotic event, "An American Salute," at 7 p.m. in the USANA Amphitheatre, 5151 S. 6200 West, West Valley. Tickets are $12-$25 (1-800-888-8499).

Through Sept. 6 — Museum of Church History and Art exhibit: "Boyd K. Packer: The Lifework of an Amateur Artist," celebrating 70 years of painting, drawing and wood carving by the Church leader. Museum Hours: Mondays-Fridays, 9 a.m.-9 p.m.; Saturdays, Sundays and most holidays, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. 45 N. West Temple. Free admission.
