- Elder D. Lee Tobler, formerly of the Second Quorum of the Seventy,
called as the new president of the Columbus Ohio Temple, was listed as from
Utah, where he maintains a residency. He and his wife, Helen Darlene
Thueson Tobler, however, are currently residing in the Wadsworth Ward,
Akron Ohio Stake.
- LDS Foundation and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Foundation are two different Church organizations and are not
interchangeable, as was incorrectly stated in the Church News July 10. LDS Foundation encourages giving to the Church and its non-profit
institutions and programs. LDS Foundation is responsible for coordinating,
correlating, encouraging, and facilitating all gifts to the Church beyond
tithing and fast offerings.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Foundation was established to provide an organization that would coordinate giving by the Church to worthy civic programs and projects and other charitable and humanitarian causes locally and abroad.
