Fora and Kwok Yuen
Tai, Kwok Yuen, 63, BYU Chinese Ward,
Provo Utah Sharon East Stake; called as president of the Hong Kong China
Temple; succeeding President Jerry D. Wheat. President Tai's wife,
Tai, Lai Hui Hua (Flora), will serve as temple
matron. A former General Authority who served in the Second Quorum of the
Seventy from 1992-97, President Tai is a temple preparation class teacher,
and a temple sealer, area president, regional representative, mission
president and counselor in a stake presidency. He works in property
investment and management. He was born in Hong Kong to Tai, Lung Hing and
Tai, Chu Sau Yin.
A nursery leader assistant, Sister Tai served with her husband when he
was a General Authority and mission president. She is a former Primary
president and teacher in the Relief Society, Primary and Sunday School. She
was born in Xiamen, China, to Lai, Ping Tung and Lai, Chen Chin Pi.
