CAMPINAS, Brazil — Elder Flavio Cooper, an Area Authority Seventy, represented the Church at a luncheon with the president of Brazil, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva. He was invited by Campinas Mayor Izalene Tiene at the city's celebration of its 230-year anniversary.

At the luncheon, held July 14, the Church's humanitarian and community service through its Helping Hands organization was noted as Elder Cooper was formally introduced to President Da Silva.

The Campinas Brazil Temple has also been recognized by the mayor as one of the most beautiful edifices in the city, known for its magnificent architecture and its prominent location.
