HAWKES BAY, New Zealand — Paora Winitana of the Takapuna Ward, Auckland New Zealand Harbour Stake, is competing in the 2004 Olympic Summer Games in Athens as a member of the New Zealand Olympic basketball team called the "Tall Blacks."

He just completed a pre-Olympic tour in the United States and other countries; the Tall Blacks secured a 93-90 win in their final pre-Olympic tour match Aug. 10, playing against Bulgaria in Yambol, Bulgaria.

Brother Winitana lives in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand, with his wife and 2-year-old son.
