SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic More than 1,200 members attended the Santo Domingo Dominican Republic Temple on Sept. 11 for the fourth anniversary of the dedication of the sacred edifice. With the assistance of 140 temple workers, the members completed a record 5,500 ordinances.
Temple missionary Sister Maria Mateo said, "I felt a special emotion when I saw so many people in the House of the Lord. The experience was unforgettable."
Sister Moilagros Saint-Hilaire, a temple worker, added: "Never before had we felt the love of the Savior as we did on this occasion. Truly we are the Lord's happiest children."
