Personal testimony is the foundation of one's faith. It is a power that can change lives.
This power makes members of the church unique among believers of other religious denominations around the world.
"Clearly in our world today it is a rare, precious thing to have a testimony that God our Heavenly Father lives, that his son Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer, and that priesthood authority to administer the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored once again upon the Earth.
"The profound blessing of having a testimony of these truths cannot be measured or ever taken for granted."
Too often monthly testimony meetings are filled with stories, travelogs and lectures rather than with pure testimonies.
Testimony meetings should be more centered on the Savior, the doctrines of the gospel, the blessings of the Restoration, and the teachings of the scriptures.
"To gain and forever hold on to a testimony of gospel truths is worth whatever price in spiritual preparation we may be required to pay."
Having a testimony is not enough. Members must share it with others. Clear declaration of trust makes a difference in people's lives. That is what changes hearts.
Sharing such simple words is all it takes to introduce the gospel to many more of God's children.
"Doubt and fear are tools of Satan. The time has come for all of us to overcome any fear and boldly take every opportunity to share our testimonies of the gospel."
