NAUVOO, Ill. — Twenty or so BYU students studying at the Joseph Smith Academy showed up in their work clothes Sept. 30 to paint a section of the iron fence that surrounds the Nauvoo Illinois Temple. They were recruited by Elder Robert Todd, who is serving a mission with his wife, Beverly. "I was excited to have a part in keeping the restored Nauvoo Temple a beautiful place," said Shaelee Averett, a student at the academy. "I feel a greater connection to those early saints who gave their all to build the Lord's house."
