ST. GEORGE, Utah Among Church members competing and winning medals in the Huntsman World Senior Games in St. George, Utah, in October, were W. LaGrand Nielsen, 97, of the Park Hill Ward, Hemet California Stake, and Betty Helland, 79, of the Bountiful 10th Ward, Bountiful Utah North Stake. Brother Nielsen won a gold medal in the 5K road race and another gold medal in the triathlon. He also received a Huntsman World Senior Games ring for 15 years of participation. He has won more than 300 medals.
Sister Helland won a gold in doubles tennis, and a silver in singles. Sister Helland has participated in the Senior Games all 18 years. She has 42 tennis medals.
