President Ezra Taft Benson said during the First Presidency Christmas Devotional on Dec. 1, 1985:
" 'I would commend you,' " he said, quoting Moroni who wrote, " 'seek this Jesus of whom the prophets and apostles have written. ' (Ether 12:41.) . . . God has provided the means — the holy scriptures, particularly the Book of Mormon — that all who seek may know that Jesus is the Christ."
