Eight new mission presidents, called by the First Presidency, have been
announced. The new leaders and their wives will begin service about July 1.
Assignments for all mission presidents will be announced later. The new
mission leaders and their wives are:
Larry and JoAnn Bair
Larry Keith Bair, 60; Columbia Heights
Ward, Vancouver Washington Stake; sealer in the
Portland Oregon Temple;
former stake president, counselor in a stake presidency, Primary teacher
and missionary in the Peru Mission. Chairman of the board of directors of
Columbia Ultimate Business Systems Inc. Born in Logan, Utah, to Clendon
George and Luella Jane Dowdle Bair. Married

Woodruff, five children.
A ward Relief Society literacy specialist, Sister Bair is a former
counselor in a stake Relief Society presidency, ward Relief Society
president, counselor in a ward Primary presidency and ward Young Women
adviser. Born in Logan, Utah, to Wilford Weeks and Afton Low Woodruff.
Gwen and Joseph Cowley
Joseph Foss Cowley Jr., 65; Cottonwood
12th Ward, Salt Lake Big Cottonwood Stake; counselor in the stake
presidency; former high councilor, bishop and missionary in the New Zealand
Auckland Mission. CPA and owner of an accounting business. Born in Salt
Lake City, Utah, to Joseph Foss and Marian Bennion Cowley. Married Annette

Elaine Abegg Webster, six children from her previous marriage to
James Webster (deceased).
A counselor in the ward Relief Society presidency, Sister Cowley is a
former ward Young Women president, counselor in a ward Primary presidency,
Sunday School and Relief Society teacher. Born in Tucson, Ariz., to Elijah
and Isaura Bentley Abegg.
Richard and Peggy Ellsworth
Richard Madsen Ellsworth, 54; Cedar
Hollow 1st Ward, Lehi Utah North Stake; stake president; former counselor
in a stake presidency, stake executive secretary, high councilor and
missionary in the Chilean Mission. President of Ellsworth Paulsen
Construction. Born in Washington, D.C., to Homer Smith and Mary Lucille
Madsen Ellsworth. Married
Peggy Ann Paulsen,
six children.
A ward humanitarian leader, Sister Ellsworth is a former counselor in a
stake Relief Society presidency, ward Relief Society president and
counselor, and nursery leader. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Paul Herman
and Martha Oline Blattmann Paulsen.
Jill and Daniel Fugal
Daniel Boyd Fugal, 56; North Field 4th
Ward, Pleasant Grove Utah North Field Stake; stake president; former high
councilor, bishop, high priests group leader and missionary in the Eastern
States Mission. Retired CEO of Fugal Companies. Born in Pleasant Grove,
Utah, to Boyd LeRoy and Venice Kathleen Jacob Fugal. Married

Randy Clay Lewis, 55; Woodland Hills
