Eight new mission presidents, called by the First Presidency, have been announced. The new leaders and their wives will begin service about July 1. Their assignments will be announced later. The new leaders and their wives are:

Ian and Paula Ardern
Ian Sidney Ardern, 50; Deseret Ward, Temple View New Zealand Stake; ward Young Men president; former counselor in a stake presidency, high councilor, bishop and missionary in the Belgium Brussels Mission. Area director for the Church Educational System. Born in Te Aroha, New Zealand, to Harry Wiltshire and Gwladys McVicar Ardern. Married Paula Ann Judd, four children.

A counselor in the ward Primary presidency and ward family history consultant, Sister Ardern is a former stake Young Women secretary and counselor in ward Relief Society, Young Women and Primary presidencies. Born in Opunake, New Zealand, to Edward Walker Bruce and Robin Noble Knox Judd.

Dale and Brenda Bradford
Dale Hansen Bradford, 50; Eastgate Ward, Cincinnati Ohio East Stake; counselor in the stake presidency; former counselor in a mission presidency, high councilor, bishop and missionary in the Brazil Sao Paulo North Mission. Partner at the Scheller Bradford Group. Born in Washington, D.C., to Henry Wells and Afton Hansen Bradford. Married Brenda Lois Larsen, four children.

The ward Young Women president, Sister Bradford is a former counselor in a stake and ward Young Women presidencies, ward Young Women president and counselor in a ward Relief Society presidency. Born in Spanish Fork, Utah, to Glen Ray and Lois Genevieve Eliason Larsen.

LaMonte and Nancy Dansie
LaMonte Jones Dansie Jr., 50; American Fork 19th Ward, American Fork Utah North Stake; counselor in the bishopric of the BYU 74th Ward; former counselor in a stake presidency, high councilor, bishop and missionary in the Brazil North Mission. Executive director at the Utah Association of Community Services. Born in Tooele, Utah, to LaMonte Jones and Marjorie Peery Dansie. Married Nancy Ellen Neilsen, three children.

A Relief Society adviser in the BYU 74th Ward, Sister Dansie is a former stake Relief Society secretary, ward Relief Society president and counselor and ward Young Women president. Born in Nephi, Utah, to Clarence Milton and Dorothy Ellen Sperry Neilsen.

Barbara and Van Johnson
Van Richard Johnson, 60; Loomis 3rd Ward, Rocklin California Stake; counselor in the ward Young Men presidency; former high councilor, counselor in a bishopric, ward mission leader and missionary in Norway. President and CEO of Sutter Health. Born in San Francisco, Calif., to Oman Dorian and Fern Williams Christensen Johnson. Married Barbara Ann Gray, seven children.

A Sunday School teacher, Sister Johnson is a former ward Relief Society and Young Women president, nursery leader and seminary teacher. Born in Portland, Ore., to Deldon Lamar and Elva Marie Nelson Gray.

Nancy and David LeSueur
David Ellsworth LeSueur, 56; Page Ward, Gilbert Arizona Highland Stake; stake president; former high councilor, counselor in a bishopric, ward Young Men president and missionary in the Central British Mission. Founder and CEO of LeSueur Investments. Born in Mesa, Ariz., to Leo Robertson and Thelma Claire Ellsworth LeSueur. Married Nancy Lee Rigby, seven children.

A stake music chairman, Sister LeSueur is a former stake Relief Society president, counselor in a stake Primary presidency, ward Primary president and Relief Society teacher. Born in Berkeley, Calif., to Charles Emery and Mary Jayne Tolton Rigby.

Dianne and Brent Rose
Douglas Brent Rose, 53; Stansbury Lake Ward, Stansbury Park Utah Stake; former stake president, counselor in a stake presidency, high councilor and missionary in the Japan East Mission. Attorney at Clyde Snow Sessions & Swenson. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Douglas Jay and Vauna Gunn Burnham Rose. Married Dianne Gwynn, four children.

A youth center worker at the Salt Lake Temple, Sister Rose is a former ward Young Women president, counselor in ward Relief Society and Young Women presidencies and patron service coordinator at the Tooele Family History Center. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Clyde Cleon and Elizabeth Dorothy Fisher Gwynn.

Travis and Margaret Steward
Travis Lynn Steward, 41; Franklin Ward, Provo Utah South Stake; ward Young Men president; former counselor in a stake presidency, high councilor, counselor in an elders quorum presidency and missionary in the Chile Vina del Mar Mission. Manager of International Missionary Training Centers for the Church. Born in Casa Grande, Ariz., to Frank Leslie and JoAnn Montgomery Steward. Married Margaret Avis Brown, six children.

A gospel doctrine teacher, Sister Steward is a former ward Relief Society president, counselor in a ward Young Women presidency, Relief Society teacher and missionary in the Denmark Copenhagen Mission. Born in Nephi, Utah, to Theodore Garrett and Phyllis Mary Blackham Brown.

Russell and Nila Watterson
Russell Nielsen Watterson Sr., 60; Webster Lake Ward, Denver Colorado North Stake; stake missionary and president of the Commerce City Branch; former counselor in a stake presidency, stake Young Men president, bishop and missionary in the West German Mission. Self-employed real estate investor and developer. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Mose Biggs and Mary Lois Nielsen Watterson. Married Nila Jean Hess, five children.

A stake missionary in the Commerce City Branch, Sister Watterson is a former stake and ward Relief Society president, stake Young Women president and ward Young Women adviser. Born in Los Angeles, Calif., to Niles Udell and Elayne Lowe Hess.
