A new Church pageant in Nauvoo, Ill., replacing the "City of Joseph" pageant which was discontinued last year, will be among Church pageants in 2005. More information about the new pageant will be published in the Church News as it becomes available. Here are calendar dates and locations for this and other Church pageants this year:
- Mesa, Ariz. — "Jesus the Christ." March 17-19 (Spanish), 22-26
(English); Mesa Arizona Temple grounds.
- Manti, Utah — "Mormon Miracle." June 16-18, 21-25; Manti Utah
Temple grounds.
- Palmyra, N.Y. — "America's Witness for Christ." July 7-9, 12-16;
at Hill Cumorah.
- Oakland, Calif. — "And It Came to Pass." July 19-23, 26-30;
Oakland California Temple grounds.
- Castle Dale, Utah — Castle Valley Pageant; July 28-30, Aug. 2-6;
outdoor amphitheater near Castle Dale.
- Nauvoo, Ill. — July 8-Aug. 5. Title, specific location and other
information to be announced in a forthcoming article.
- Clarkston, Utah — "Martin Harris, the Man Who Knew." Aug. 5-6, 9-13, 16-19; amphitheater adjacent to city cemetery and Martin Harris grave in Clarkston.
All pageants are free of charge. Most start at dusk and last about 1 1/2 hours. The Clarkston pageant starts at 8:15 p.m. The Oakland pageant starts at 8 p.m. with Saturday matinees at 2 p.m.
Only the Clarkston and Oakland pageants require tickets.
