TOPEKA, Kan. — On a chilly Jan. 29, members of the Topeka University Branch, Topeka Kansas Stake, staged a chili cook-off and a used-book sale to raise funds for tsunami relief efforts in southern Asia by Church Humanitarian Services. Used books were donated by Church and community members, and branch members made and donated more than 20 kinds of chili for the lunch. Judges awarded prizes for the best chili in different categories: spicy, regular and alternative. More than $1,000 was raised by the dinner and book sale.

President Robert Clawson of the Topeka University Branch said, "While we are a small branch, we know that our efforts, united with those of other small groups and individuals, will combine to provide a significant amount of help for a large number of people."
