The Mormon Tabernacle Choir will present a special edition broadcast of Music and the Spoken Word on Sunday, Feb. 20.
This broadcast will be in honor of the 9th annual Western Academic Bowl, which will be hosted by the Utah Association for the Deaf, in conjunction with Gallaudet University of Washington, D.C., and the Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind. This is the first time this event has been hosted in Utah.
The broadcast will feature eight guest signers from the Utah Association for the Deaf and their director, Kristi Mortensen, who are deaf or hearing impaired. This will be the first time this type of collaboration has occurred on this scale.
The broadcast will originate from the Conference Center and will be open to the public; guests should be seated by 9:15 a.m.
