A. Ray and Sonya Otte
Alfred Ray Otte, 75, Boerne 1st Ward, San Antonio Texas North Stake, called as president of the new San Antonio Texas Temple, which will be dedicated May 22, 2005. President Otte's wife, Sonya Shipman Otte, will serve as temple matron. President Otte, coordinator of the San Antonio Texas Temple open house and dedication committee and a temple sealer, is a former regional representative, stake president and counselor, and bishop. He is a retired U.S. Army colonel and chief financial officer of USAA. His wife, Kathryn Peterson Otte, died in 1998. He married Sonya Shipman in 1999. He was born in Logan, Utah, to Alfred Hans and Christina Mitton Otte.

Sister Otte is a former temple ordinance worker and ward coordinator of family history center. She was born in Jacksonville, Fla., to William Ervin and Aileene Lowry Shipman.
