Six new mission presidents, called by the First Presidency, have been announced. The new leaders and their wives will begin service about July 1. Mission presidents' assignments were announced in the Feb. 26, 2005, issue of the Church News.

Renee and Blair Condie
Robert Blair Condie, 54; Brazil Ribeirao Preto Mission; Lindon 19th Ward, Lindon Utah Central Stake; gospel doctrine teacher; former counselor in a stake presidency, high councilor, bishop, Aaronic priesthood adviser and missionary in the Brazil Central Mission. Assistant vice president of human resources at BYU. Born in Brigham City, Utah, to Robert Burton Condie and Elizabeth Louise Colton Condie Hartvigsen. Married Renee Elizabeth Polson, seven children.

A Church service missionary and stake Relief Society president, Sister Condie is a former ward Young Women president, counselor in a ward Relief Society presidency, Young Women adviser and teacher improvement coordinator. Born in Ogden, Utah, to Ivan John and Sena Marie Elizabeth Wilson Polson.

Carl and Lynette Cook
Carl Bert Cook, 47; New Zealand Auckland Mission; Riverdale 2nd Ward, Riverdale Utah Stake; Area Seventy; former stake president and counselor, bishop and missionary in the Germany Hamburg Mission. Real estate developer. Born in Ogden, Utah, to Bert Eugene and Ramona Poulson Barker Cook. Married Lynette Hansen, five children.

A ward Young Women camp director, Sister Cook is a former ward Young Women and Primary president and counselor in a ward Relief Society presidency. Born in Ogden, Utah, to George Wendell and Lilas Josephine Morris Hansen.

Karen and Michael Finnigan
Gordon Michael Finnigan, 56; New Zealand Wellington Mission; Lunada Bay Ward, Palos Verdes California Stake; stake president; former counselor in mission and stake presidencies, high councilor, bishop and missionary in the French Polynesian Mission. Consultant/private investor and chairman of Centinela Freeman Health System. Born in South Porcupine, Ontario, to Gordon Franklin and Ethel Marion Brown Finnigan. Married Karen Germaine Roberts, four children.

A Relief Society teacher, Sister Finnigan is a former stake Relief Society president and counselor, ward Relief Society and Primary president and seminary teacher. Born in Montreal, Quebec, to James Francis Sayre Roberts and Alma Joyce Dow Roberts Ball.

Anthony and Carol Middleton
Anthony Wayne Middleton Jr., 66; Canada Vancouver Mission; Monument Park 13th Ward, Salt Lake Monument Park Stake; high priests group leader assistant; former counselor in a stake presidency, counselor in a stake Young Men presidency, stake family history consultant, high councilor and missionary in the British Mission. Former urological surgeon and clinical associate professor at University of Utah. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Anthony Wayne and Dolores Caravena Lowry Middleton. Married Carol Jean Samuelson, five children.

A gospel doctrine teacher, Sister Middleton is a former counselor in a stake Relief Society presidency, ward Relief Society and Primary president, Young Women adviser and Relief Society teacher. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Cecil Osborn Samuelson Sr. and Janet Brazier Mitchell Samuelson.

Linda and Gerald Mortimer
Gerald Elbert Mortimer, 61; Philippines San Pablo Mission; Ammon 5th Ward, Ammon Idaho Stake; ward Young Men president; former counselor in a stake presidency, counselor in a stake Young Men presidency, bishop, Sunday School teacher and missionary in the North Central States Mission. Physician. Born in Payson, Utah, to William Earl and Margaret Eastmond Johnson Mortimer. Married Linda Gay McKinnon, four children.

A counselor in the stake Relief Society presidency, Sister Mortimer is a former ward Relief Society president, Cub Scout leader, Young Women adviser, Primary teacher and Sunday School teacher. Born in Logan, Utah, to Glenn and Thelma Linda Hatch McKinnon.

Robert and Lynda Stringham
Robert Jed Stringham, 60; Philippines Angeles Mission; Kaysville 5th Ward, Kaysville Utah East Stake; high priests group instructor; former counselor in a stake presidency, stake executive secretary, high councilor, bishop and missionary in the Germany Berlin Mission. Former CFO of Utah Retirement Systems. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Jed Hugh and Charlotte Ruth Wendrich Stringham. Married Lynda Buckner, five children.

A Relief Society teacher, choir accompanist and temple organist, Sister Stringham is a former stake Relief Society president, ward Relief Society and Young Women president, Primary teacher and Church service missionary. Born in Ogden, Utah, to Elmer LaMar and Melba Hale Buckner.
