A new mission president, called by the First Presidency, has been announced. Mission presidents' assignments were announced in the Feb. 26, 2005, issue of the Church News. They will begin service about July 1.

Kathryn and Robert Egan
Robert Marshall Egan, 56; South Africa Cape Town Mission; Granite Ridge Ward, Sandy Utah Granite View Stake; former regional public affairs director, stake president, high councilor, bishop and missionary in the Denmark Copenhagen Mission. Math and statistics instructor at LDS Business College. Born in Provo, Utah, to John Benson and Mildred Marshall Egan. Married Kathryn White, seven children.

Sister Egan is a former stake and ward Young Women president, counselor in a stake Primary presidency, ward Relief Society president and Sunday School teacher. Born in Mesa, Ariz., to John Casad White Sr. and Elizabeth Phelps White.
