Elder Sione M. Fineanganofo, 63, of Nuku'alofa, Tonga, was called to the Eighth Quorum of the Seventy on June 18, 2005.
Since joining the Church in 1960, Elder Fineanganofo has served as full-time missionary, branch president, bishop, high councilor, stake president's counselor, stake president, regional representative, temple ordinance worker, sealer and president of the Nuku'alofa Tonga Temple from 1998-2001. At the time of his call as an Area Seventy, he was serving as a family history center director. Now retired, he was a teacher, principal and administrator for the Church Educational System in Tonga. He succeeds Elder Pita (Peter) Ranchod Vamanrav, 61,who died June 11, 2005, of cancer. Some 38 new Area Seventies were sustained at April, and two more quorms of the Seventy, the Seventh and Eighth Quorums, were created.
