"The contrast between the Church and the world will be increasingly marked in the future, which contrast, we hope, will cause the Church to be more attractive to those in the world who desire to live according to God's plan for us, His children," said President Ezra Taft Benson, then a member of the Quorum of the Twelve in the May 1978 general conference.
