WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. A walk-off home run by Michael Memea, a deacon in the Ewa Beach 1st Ward, Waipahu Hawaii Stake, boosted his team to the Little League Baseball World Series championship here Aug. 28. The 12-year-old son of Mack and Terry Memea broke a 6-6 tie with his dramatic blast on a full-count pitch in the bottom of the 7th inning, the first extra inning of the scheduled 6-inning game. The Hawaiian team from Ewa Beach advanced to the World Series representing the United States by winning the Northwest Region tournament.
