Oct. 7-8 — "Joseph Sonnets," based on the poetry of Sally T. Taylor on the life and ministry of the Prophet Joseph Smith, with music composed by Murray Boren and a 13-piece orchestra conducted by Brandon Matthews. Soprano Susan Alexander-Boren and baritone Michael Turnblom will sing in the Assembly Hall at 7:30 p.m. Free Admission (801-240-0080 or www.lds.org/events).

Oct. 14 — Soulage Trio: Jeannine Richards Goeckeritz, flute; Bonnie Schroeder, oboe and English horn; and harpist Tamara Bischoff Oswald will perform in the Assembly Hall at 7:30 p.m. Free Admission (801-240-0080 or www.lds.org/events).

Thursdays — The Mormon Tabernacle Choir rehearses on Thursday evenings in the Conference Center. Doors are open to the public at 7:30 p.m.

Through Jan. 15, 2006 — "Joseph Smith: Prophet of the Restoration," featuring historical documents, works of art, period artifacts and media presentations that show how Joseph was prepared to fulfill his calling as the prophet of the Restoration.
