Dec. 4 — The annual First Presidency Christmas Devotional will originate from the Conference Center at 6:00 p.m. MST. This devotional will include Christmas messages from the First Presidency and music by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Tickets no longer available but standbys are encouraged. Utah and surrounding areas (for members in their homes) on KSL-TV Channel 5. Live broadcast at 6 p.m.; KBYU-TV Channel 11. Rebroadcast at 8 p.m.; KBYU-FM Radio: 89.1 frequency (89.5 in Utah County). Live broadcast.

Opening Dec. 19 — "Joseph Smith The Prophet of the Restoration," a film showing events in the life of Joseph Smith from his early youth in Vermont to his martyrdom in Illinois at age 38, will be shown in the Legacy Theater at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. Through Dec. 31— Christmas and First Night on Temple Square: Concerts include performances in the Assembly Hall, the South Visitors Center, and the lobby of the Church Office Building. Through Dec. 31— "Savior of the World: His Birth and Resurrection." A musical production based on the scriptural accounts at the birth and Resurrection of Jesus Christ will be presented in the Conference Center Theater at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are sold out. Standbys are encouraged (240-0080).
