The First Presidency has announced the calling of nine new Missionary Training Center presidents. The new leaders and their wives will begin service in January 2006. Here are brief biographical summaries:

Shiroko M. and Koichi Aoyagi
Koichi Aoyagi, 60, Japan Missionary Training Center; Chiba Ward, Chiba Japan Stake; former president of Japan Sendai Mission, regional representative, stake president, high councilor, ward mission leader and Sunday School teacher. Sales manager with Young Living Inc. Born in Matsumoto, Nagano-ken, Japan, to Mitsuo and Sueno Aoyagi Tazaki. Married Shiroko Momose, four children.

A stake Relief Society president, she is a former ward Relief Society president, branch Primary president, branch Relief Society president, and ward Young Women president. Born in Matsumoto, Nagano-ken, Japan, to Tateki and Umeyo Ohta Momose.

Donald W. and Cathy K. Atkinson
Donald Wando Atkinson, 61, Argentina Missionary Training Center; Willow Canyon 3rd Ward, Sandy Utah East Stake; former assistant to Area Seventy, area priesthood adviser to Hispanic single adults, counselor in two stake presidencies, president of Mexico Mexico City North Mission and bishop. Chief executive officer of Financial Freedom International. Born in Glendale, Calif., to Wando Elmer and Vaun McDonald Atkinson. Married Cathy Marie Ketchum, six children.

A worker in the Church's Hispanic Initiative in the Utah North Area, she is a former member of stake and ward Relief Society presidencies, a ward Young Women president's counselor and a Primary teacher. Born in Oakland, Calif., to Robert Lewis and Thelma Jenkel Ketchum.

Phyllis R. and Wilford A. Cardon
Wilford Allen Cardon, 66, Brazil Missionary Training Center; Estate Groves Ward, Mesa Arizona Citrus Heights Stake; former director of Brazil Perpetual Education Fund, president of Brazil Sao Paulo South Mission, regional representative, bishop, stake mission president and gospel doctrine teacher. Founder and CEO of the Cardon Group. Born in Tucson, Ariz., to Wilford Pratt and Vilate Allen Cardon. Married Phyllis Reneer, eight children.

A missionary serving with her husband in Brazil, she is a former stake Young Women president, teacher and enrichment committee member in Relief Society and ward Young Women adviser. Born in Tucson, Ariz., to Leamon Albert and Helen Payne Reneer.

Lee W. and Connie G. Crayk
Lee William Crayk, 54, Peru Missionary Training Center; Willow Creek 9th Ward, Sandy Utah Willow Creek Stake; former president of Mexico Monterrey South Mission, stake president, bishop, bishop's counselor, high councilor, and stake Young Men president. Owner of Quality Linen. Born in Los Angeles, Calif., to Donald Edward and Marlene Joy Shaw Crayk. Married Connie Charlene Greenwall, five children.

A worker in the Church's Hispanic Initiative in the Salt Lake Valley, she is a former ward Relief Society, Young Women and Primary president. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Robert Axel and Norma Ailene Greenwall.

John R. and Marsha H. Hill
John Richard Hill, 62, South Africa Missionary Training Center; Oakton Ward, Oakton Virginia Stake; former president of Madagascar Antananarivo Mission, member of mission presidency, temple sealer and ordinance worker. Former senior economist with International Monetary Fund. Born in Murray, Utah, to Mark Eugene and Leonora Andrus Hill. Married Marsha Eugene Howard, four children.

A Sunday School gospel doctrine teacher, she is a former ward Relief Society president, ward Young Women president, branch Primary president and counselor in a district Relief Society presidency. Born in New Orleans, La., to Charles Bruce and Frances Anita Day Howard.

D. Kelly and Marcia H. Ogden
D. Kelly Ogden, 58, Guatemala Missionary Training Center; Edgemont 6th Ward, Provo Utah Edgemont Stake; former high councilor, temple ordinance worker, president of Chile Santiago East Mission, member of stake presidency and branch president. Professor of ancient scripture at BYU. Born in Ogden, Utah, to Daniel Howard and Joyce Chambers Ogden. Married Marcia Hammond, four children.

A gospel doctrine teacher, she is a former ward Primary president, ward Relief Society president, ward Young Women president, Young Women adviser, Primary music leader and Primary teacher. Born in Billings, Mont., to Opal Kneil and Mona Savage Hammond.

Howard A. and Mary Diane L. Wagner
Howard Arnold Wagner, 65, Chile Missionary Training Center; Valley View 7th Ward, Salt Lake Valley View Stake; former zone leader in Church's Salt Lake Valley Hispanic Initiative, president of Chile Antofagasta Mission, high councilor, bishop and high priests group leader assistant. Former in-field representative for Missionary Department. Born in Chihuahua, Mexico, to Edgar LeRoy and Theresa Turley Wagner. Married Mary Diane Lee, seven children.

A ward missionary in the Hispanic Initiative, she is a former Sunday School gospel doctrine teacher, stake Young Women president, and counselor in ward Young Women, Relief Society and Primary presidencies. Born in Provo, Utah, to Victor and Ruby Linn Lee.

Lynn W. and ShirLee F. Wood
Lynn Willey Wood, 71, New Zealand Missionary Training Center; Valley View 9th Ward, Layton Utah Valley View Stake; former member of Provo Utah Missionary Training Center presidency, president of Canada Halifax Mission, stake president, bishop and bishop's counselor. In-field representative for Missionary Department. Born in Ogden, Utah, to Clifford Ulysses and Gertrude Willey Wood. Married ShirLee Forbes, five children.

A Relief Society teacher, she is a former ward Primary president, Young Women adviser and Sunday School teacher. Born in Clearfield, Utah, to John Philip and Ellen B. Anderson Forbes.

Brent L. and Barbara T. Nielson
Brent L. Nielson, 67, Ghana Missionary Training Center; Mountain View Ward, Cardston Alberta West Stake; former counselor in the Cardston Alberta Temple presidency, president of the DR Congo Kinshasa Mission, stake president and missionary in France. Associate superintendent of schools in Alberta. Born in Cardston, Alberta, to Ora Leroy and Vivian Marsden Nielson. Married Barbara Elaine Tollestrup, six children.

A counselor in the ward Primary presidency, she is a former Primary teacher, assistant temple matron, ward Relief Society and Young Women president. Born in Lethbridge, Alberta, to Marion Arthur and Julianna Maria Audenart Tollestrup.
