TACOMA, Wash. — Members in the greater Tacoma, Wash., area presented the last of seven performances on Nov. 12 of what has been called the Mormon Festival of Arts. Sponsored by a six-stake committee, the festival began early this year with the first in the series, "An Evening at the Opera," and ended with "Savior of the World: Birth and Resurrection," a musical drama which played to 2,450 people and drew some 100 top actors, musicians and technicians from a pool of talent in the six stakes.

"This program is opening the hearts of many people to an understanding of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ," said President Kevin W. Pearson of the Washington Tacoma Mission. "Many people currently investigating the gospel and members of the Church came away with their faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ strengthened.

"Showcasing the Church through the medium of the arts and testimonies of wonderful dedicated members is one of the reasons missionary work is flourishing here."
