Through Jan. 15, 2006 — "Joseph Smith: Prophet of the Restoration," featuring historical documents, works of art, period artifacts and media presentations that show how Joseph was prepared to fulfill his calling as the Prophet of the Restoration. Museum of Church History and Art exhibit. Mondays-Fridays, 9 a.m.- 9 p.m.; Saturdays, Sundays and most holidays, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. 45 N. West Temple. Free admission.

Through Feb. 5, 2006 — "You Have a Family Tree," an interactive children's exhibit featuring a puppet show, an activity kiosk about family research, a craft station and play areas where children learn about ancestors. Museum of Church History and Art exhibit. Mondays-Fridays, 9 a.m.-9 p.m.; Saturdays, Sundays and most holidays, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. 45 N. West Temple. Free admission.

Ongoing — "Joseph Smith The Prophet of the Restoration," a film showing events in the life of Joseph Smith from his early youth in Vermont to his martyrdom in Illinois at age 38, will be shown in the Legacy Theater at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. Free admission (www.lds.org/events; 1-866-537-8457, toll-free in the U.S.; 570-0080, greater Salt Lake City area). No standby lines.

Sundays— Music and Spoken Word featuring the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. At the Conference Center, doors open at 8 a.m. and close at 9:15 a.m. for a 30-minute telecast. Free admission (801-240-3323).
