The Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Orchestra at Temple Square, Bells on Temple Square and the Wasatch & District Pipe Band (a bagpipe and drum corps) will present a public concert in conjunction with the American Choral Directors Association Region IX convention.

The public concert will be held Thursday, March 2, at 7:30 p.m. in the Conference Center auditorium. Craig Jessop, music director, and Mack Wilberg, associate music director, will conduct.

"We are honored to be headline concert for this gathering of our musical colleagues from the Western region of the ACDA," said Brother Jessop. "We've put together an evening of music from the choir's broad repertoire, complemented by appearances from the orchestra, our new bell choir and our friends from the bagpipe band. We've included favorites from our Northwestern States tour from last summer as well as selections from our very successful Christmas concert."

The concert is open to the public. Free tickets are required and are available at the Conference Center ticket office (inside door 4) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and on the Internet (www.lds.org/events). The length of the performance will be about 90 minutes. Seating is limited to persons 8 years and older.
