The Worldwide Leadership Training Meeting on Feb. 11 focused on "The Family: A Proclamation to the World" and included addresses by President Thomas S. Monson, first counselor in the First Presidency; Elder L. Tom Perry and Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve; and Relief Society General President Bonnie D. Parkin. Thousands of designated priesthood and auxiliary leaders throughout the world viewed via satellite transmission the international broadcast from Salt Lake City.

This was the fourth time the Church has held a Worldwide Leadership Training Meeting to teach and train on a local level, with the first broadcast on Jan. 11, 2003. During that first meeting, President Gordon B. Hinckley emphasized the importance of uniform training. "We are all one Church, the Church of our Lord and Master, Jesus Christ. We should be performing our duty uniformly to bless the lives of all for whom we are responsible," he declared.
