JAKARTA, INDONESIA
An anti-drug campaign was taken to the main streets of this city by young men and young women of the Church as part of their celebration of the 200th anniversary of Joseph Smith's birth. More than 50 youth of the Jakarta Indonesia District distributed "Say No to Drugs" stickers and pamphlets that included a message from President Gordon B. Hinckley during the event the day after Christmas.
Response was positive from police and others who received the material. The project also emphasized to the participating youth the importance of avoiding illegal drugs.
