May 6 International Children's Choir, with more 100 children and youth singers, directed by its founder, Dr. Kathy Sorensen, will present international folk music, a broad spectrum of religious songs, and selected show tunes in the Assembly Hall at 7:30 p.m. Free admission (801-240-3323).
May 7 A CES Fireside for Young Adults will be transmitted over the Church satellite system on Sunday, May 7, 2006, with subsequent rebroadcasts to many areas of the world. The speaker will be President James E. Faust, second counselor in the First Presidency. The broadcast will originate from the Salt Lake City Utah University Institute.
May 12 The 50 female voices of Schubert Singers, directed by Harold Stokes, will present "A Little Broadway Magic" as a tribute to Gordon Quigley, former director of the group. Assembly Hall at 7:30 p.m. Free admission (801-240-3323).
Through Sept. 4, 2006 Museum of Church History and Art exhibit: "Our Heritage of Faith," International Art Competition featuring artwork created by members of the Church portraying a wide range of themes, including teachings and stories from the scriptures, Church history and personal events. Museum Hours: Mondays-Fridays, 9 a.m.-9 p.m.; Saturdays, Sundays and most holidays, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. 45 N. West Temple. Free admission.
