BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. Twelve missionaries from the Florida Fort Lauderdale Mission have been spending their Saturday afternoons performing an unusual community service enhancing the names of donors on the benefactor fence at the Kid's Kingdom Playground, adjacent to the Children's Schoolhouse Museum here. This job is part of ongoing painting, remodeling and clean-up activity at the playground. Museum Director Arlene Dennison says "the finished result looks terrific. The missionaries are doing a great job, and we appreciate their help."
The missionaries became interested in the job when Judi Marsh, a convert to the Church and an employee at the museum, mentioned the clean-up project at the playground. The missionary crew quickly volunteered. The Boynton Times gave front page coverage, complete with photos, to this project.
